Is there anyone in the NBA hall of fame as a player and a coach?

Not just an ex-player who maybe was a player/coach one year and made it in as a player. I mean someone with a legitimate career as a player who coached afterward, then had a legitamete career as a coach, and was inducted for both? Thanks!

There is no NBA Hall of Fame. It is called the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. It is for bothcollegeand NBA players, as well ascollegeand NBA coaches. Lenny Wilkens, Bill Sharman and John Wooden are the only three inducted as a player and a coach.

Bill Sharman played for USC and the Boston Celtics. He was an All-Star and an All-American at USC. He coached in the ABL for Los Angeles Jets and the Cleveland Pipers.

John Wooden played for Purdue in college. He coached for UCLA and led them to 10 NCAA titles. He is a six time coach of the year.

Lenny Wilkens was an All-American and an NBA great. He coached for the Sonics, Hawks, Trailblazers and Cavaliers.1,000 game winner.

Lenny Wilkens, Bill Sharman. pat riley is more remembered as a coach but he won a title in 1972 as a player. if byron scott continues to be succesful over the years he'll be a hall of fame coach and as a palyer for the lakers.
